Superkaramba i i i!

Guys, as a newbie, i wanna superkaramba which loads all the cool little programs onto the desktop..... my question is,:

how do i make superkaramba run on bootup?

how do i get it to close properly so it saves the settings so i dont have to configure it everytime i load it?

Also, does anyone havea link to a superkarmba program which acts like a news ticker?

Assuming that you are using KDE, do this....

Create a new "Link to Application" in the following directory:

~/.kde/Autostart/

For the "Command" portion of the link, it should read as follows. This example is for kroller on my box:

Code:
superkaramba /downloads/software/kroller-v0.94/kroller.theme
That launches my OSX bar at the bottom of my screen when I load X - it loads perfectly - without issue everytime. Good Luck!!!!

Cheers, so i just add as many files for each program i wanna run in the folder? Cool.

Also, how do i close Superkarmba properly so that it saves all the settings. It says in the manual that just closing it without closing each theme seperately will lose any new changes made to the settings during that session.

hmmmm, did what you said , i can see "starting liquid weather" and "chrome clock" in the taskbar but they just die out after a while.

Also, when i run the commands in the terminal, it says this:

[mark@x1-6-00-0d-87-37-8d-dd mark]$ superkaramba /home/mark/Programs/Super karamba themes/ChromeClock/ChromeClock/ChromeClock.theme <----- this is the location of my theme

kdecore (KIconLoader): WARNING: Icon directory /home/mark/.kde/share/icons/nuvola/ group not valid.
[mark@x1-6-00-0d-87-37-8d-dd mark]$

yet if i run superkaramba on its own.... and then manually load the same themes, it works fine....

i cant fina any documentation on the commands for superkaramba, theres no man pages aswell!

any ideas?

Verify that the path given for that icon set is valid - if it isn't - correct it - and try again. Not sure why that would be an issue, but it seems to be.......

The icon directory exists and has all the files needed which came with the theme.
