Super Karamba with Mandrake 9.2

Hi ppl, just a quick one.

Was wondering if anybody has downloaded and installed the Super Karamba RPM off the www.kde-look.org site. The reason I ask is it's a specific Mandrake 9.1 RPM and I was wondering if there's issues there.

I haven't had much success with installing programs from source which is why I don't really want to download the tarball. I downloaded and installed the tarball for the standard Karamba a while ago and I couldn't even run it, it was like it installed (I received no errors during configure, make, make install) yet the command line didn't work.

Any help would be appreciated, as I like the look of Super Karamba and currently there is no Mandrake 9.2 RPM.

Cheers

Hmmm...have you configured/added contrib to your software sources? The superkaramba rpm is on the contrib mirrors; that's where I got mine.

Go to Easy URPMI and pick a contrib mirror of your choice.

In my experience, superkaramba 0.33 does not play nice with 9.2. The one on the 9.2 contrib mirrors is 0.32b, which, when you install some themes, you will have to edit/modify the theme (especially python ones), for the text/font does not display correctly. Otherwise, most themes should work.

BTW, I have made a couple of themes for superkaramba. Transparent Bar and Transparent Background for Liquid Weather+ at kde-look.org. Check them out and tell me what you think.

Thanks very much Estatik. I've configured all sources and will download 0.32b from contrib. Hopefully I won't have a problem with editing the themes so fonts work properly.

I'll check out your ones for you when i get it working and let ya know what I think.

Cheers
