Step by Step Ethernet Installation
 

I'm trying to make myself a firewall/router with mandrake 9.1
I've done this sort of thing with SuSE linux before, but now I'm encountering a problem. On SuSE the configuration utility was always able to autodetect the network cards, no such luck with mandrake. So, a step by step guide on how to install the drivers and make both cards work would be very helpful. Once eth0 and eth1 show up in ip addr, I can take it from there.

So, I have a crappy microsoft MN-130 nic (not my choice) and a D-Link DF-530 TX+ sitting in my hands, and my computer is open and ready to operate.
