static-routes in Mandrake 10.0
Two quick and easy questions:
Does Mandrake 10.0 use the /etc/sysconfig/static-routes file if it is configured? If YES, why do no scripts in the /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts directory look for this file? Where is the script that makes use of it? You could guess correctly that it isn't working for me. |
OK, I found out how to use static-routes in Mandrake 10.0. My static routes file needed to have the following layout:
any net 192.168.191.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 eth0 But I'm not sure why I use the keyword "any" and then I have to include the interface name at the end. What is the meaning of the keyword "any?" I would have assumed "any" interface. But apparrently not... Issue resolved. Sorry for the trouble. |
