StartX


When I start up Mandrake i choose linux and then it asks me to log into localhost. I do that and then it is all just text do I just enter startx and goor what must I do?

did not understand ?
this may be ur doubt.
to start the X use this command

#startx -- : 1

1 or 2 or whatever.
or use this command telinit 5 to X

First try startx by itself. It defaults to run level 3.
