If you are interested in bleeding edge, forget the cooker and try out 10.0 beta 2. It has a 2.6.2rc kernel and you can then use the cooker sources if you want to add stuff.
if you are set on a 9.2 base, there is a good snapshot available from bluehawk on the
mandrake.redbox.cz mirror that is very nice. I have used his January 19th 'release for tests' (9.2 UE 4CD R7test1 on that site) that was fine stability wise.
The 10 series is getting very polished. I have been using this since the 1CD snapshot came out, and I can say that there as been a lot of progress in a very short time. My only complaint is an anoying segv when kaffeine is closed. Not really a big problem, and i installed it from the cooker anyway. I saw some x-server crashes back in the 2 CD snapshot, but none in a week for beta 1 and beta 2 has been running fine for all of the 4 hours since the download finished. There were also sound problems (one that made me delete my kde profile before letting me back in) in the earlier 10 releases that are absent now.
Judging from the 9.2 release, I think that 10 beta 1 (not enough time on beta 2 yet) is in better shape than the final then. It is not going to be a hurried-out-the-door release.
