While browsing for an extended period of time, say 2 to 3 hours, I get a KDE Crash Handler report that Soundserver (artsd) has crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV). The crash does not affect my browsing I don't think but I'm curious why artsd is involved with a browser, any ideas, fixes ?

I have made many posts to the LQ Mandriva forum trying to solve my remaining problems with Mandriva 2006 and KDE. This is the best Linux distro that I've used in the past couple of years with the fewest problems. I've gotten all my periphels to work, a good stable Internet connection and very few OS glitches.

I would love to install this distro on less computer fortunate people's machines and let them use it with their existing Windows skills.

My children are begging for a Linux/Mandriva machine for their music and video collections and I would like to present a stable and fully functional machine to them
