Slow BitTorrent download w/ MDK10

I paid for the membership and I have not seen any faster than 20kbs, but usually between 0-6kb/s

At this rate with BitTorrent, I could have gotten it via mail. I am using DSL which, in Linux, gets about 200-250 KB/s on LimeWire and FTP sites.

I'd settle for 70kbs...at least it'd be done by tonight.

Any suggestions? (I am in WinXP home right now trying to get the ISO files using TurboBT 5.0)

Thanks!!

Throttle your upload to 50-70% of your max upload. Basic rule of WAN is you need upload to download (ie, send requests to server etc). A saturated upload will bring download down to equal or double upload. I downloaded MDK 10 @ 150-200KB avg.

EDIT
Just saw your other post, make sure your firewall ports are open/firewall disabled, also, enable allow multiple connections from 1 IP, also, switch to the shadow bittorrent client.

yeah, throttling the uploads aren't working...i've got a little over half of the 4th cd and about 1/8th of the 1-3 CD torrent.

I"m about sick of the fact that I paid $60 to help them out and they can't give me a freaking FTP server. Or at least some additional help with BitTorrent.

lol ok coz i've just been ripped off buy http://www.loadux.com

I paid them so I could download MDK 10.00 and then there was nothing in the download section so I thought I had to go back and get the "Gold Access" but all they have is MDK 9.0, 9.1, 9.2! I'm really pissed off about this and I've sent them an email and they better give me my money back coz I paid twice!
