Setupping a sound card in Mandrake 9.2 HOW?

Could somebody tell me how I should do if I want to setup my soundcard (to get it to play music) in Mandrake 9.2? Where do I find some kind of setup tool? It's probably a easy task, but anyway I need some help.

like is it PCI or ISA
what brand and model is it
Do you know how to access the Mandrake Control Centre
Is your Hardware supported by Mandy 9.2

Yeah, I forgot it...sorry...
The sound card is an old ISA-card, made by Crystal Semiconductor corp., I'm not sure about the model but it's at least 43xx where x is some number I don't know.

Yes, I know how to access mandrake control center, but I can't find anything about soundcards or adding hardware tht isn't already installed. The Mandrake installation said that I should use sndconfig command, but it says that it cannot find some test sounds...
The hardware should be supported, at least it works with other distributions with the same kernel.

Could somebody now help me?

Ahhhh another naughty ISA sound card

So you have installed and run sndconfig ?

sndconfig should be run from a terminal
while you are root
just log in as root
open the terminal
and type sndconfig
normally there are no problems
sometimes you have to do it manually
in which case
you'll need to go into your bios
and find the IRQs and DMAs thingys for your soundcard

hope this helps

Yeah, I've tried sndconfig as root, and it finds the soundcardautomatically BUT when it tries to play some test sounds it just says that it cannot find the test sounds! Then I can select the settings manually but again there is the same problem with the test sounds. And it doesn't install anything just because it can't find the test sounds!

Should I try to reinstall the test sounds in some way? How?

Please help me!

I would try un-installing and re-installing sndconfig

The sound is
