I'm a complete newb when it comes to linux so please bare with me.
I've dualbooted Mandrake 10 with windows XP on a system with 2 hard drives, the OS's both reside on the first HDD with the second containing all my music. The second HDD is formatted in NTFS.
The problem is that I can't see any of my music from linux and when I look in the MCC at hdd I can see the drive but it's grey (other)...

Device: hdd1
Type: ext2:vfat
Size: 76gb (99%)
Formatted
Mounted

Any ideas on how I can listen to my music under Linux?

if it's ntfs and your system has set it up as vfat then you will not be able to read from it coz you are using the wrong filesystem type.

Any idea on how to set it up so that I can?

Sorry for being so lame, this has now been sorted out

mkdir /mnt/windows2
mount /dev/hdd1 /mnt/windows2 -t ntfs -r

I know, I know...
