Sb live digital output
 

I have an SB live card with Boston Acoustic speakers which will only accept a digital output from the sound. Since Mandrake 9 I have not been able to get the speakers to work. Currently I have 10.1, AMD 2600+ processor with an Asus nForce M/B. Anyone managed to get there setup working. BTW the mixer analog/digital switch does not work. :(

I also have a SB Live! CT4831 together with Boston Multimedia Digital speakers BA735.
This combination works OK on SuSE 9.2, set up properly with help of YAST.
It has taken me years to achieve success - but sound quality now is worth the effort!

However I am unable to get it to work on my Kanotix 2005-3 partition using up to date Alsa.
I have set the extin=x0003 and extout=0x1f0f options - but there must be some other setting, or is it a kernel patch?

Anybody got any suggestion?
