Samba help

ok i got samba up and running correctly and everything, and i can login to it, and then there are folders called "apps" "music" "cegha" "printers and faxes", now i know, apps and music are there because i specified them in the smbd.conf (think thats the name, i don't feel like looking), but cegha is just the /home/cegha directory (my username), so im not sure why that's there, i don't recall specifiying it and im not logged in as root, so again im not looking.

Now my main problem, the "music" and "apps" directory's, when clicked on they ask for a username and password, so i enter username cegha, and my password that i have specified for samba then it goes "Username - SAMBA\cegha", it then keeps prompting me for a password. I'm not sure why it changes it to SAMBA\cegha, but it won't let me login, the cegha folder (/home/cegha directory on linux machine), doesn't prompt for this login, only the "music" and "apps" folders prompt for it. So how do i login to my "music" and "apps" folders?

Edit: when i try to login, it doesn't say wrong password/username or anything, it just acts like nothing was entered and keeps displaying the login screen.

May be you should install the Webmin package, wich is a panel control of your system, via http. It has a great tool to configure the samba server and it's shares, there you can erase the restriction to your folders and delete your /home/cegha share.

Good luck!

in all actuality, i like having my /home/cegha share because that is where all my storage space is, so thats where my downloads go, but thnx for the help, i appreciate it.
