Samba firewall access

I have two networked Mandria 2006 systems. I can communicate between them if I disable the firewall. The question may seem obvious, but how do I configure the enabled firewall to allow the Samba access?

Cannot help on the configuration tool since not a Mandrive user but you need to open the following ports.
Port 135/TCP - used by smbd
Port 137/UDP - used by nmbd
Port 138/UDP - used by nmbd
Port 139/TCP - used by smbd
Port 445/TCP - used by smbd

Hope this helps.

menu->System->Configuration->Configure Your Computer then click Security->"Setup a personal firewall..." and check 'Samba'. See: http://doc.mandrivalinux.com/Mandrak...yfirewall.html

Alternately you can edit the shorewall config files directly. Open the file /etc/shorewall/rules (menu->Run Command->'kdesu kwrite' will give you a text editor running as root) and add
Code:
#SAMBA server rules (ie. let this machine share files to others)
AllowSMB fw loc
AllowSMB loc fw
above the line that says 'LAST LINE -- ADD YOUR ENTRIES BEFORE THIS ONE'. Now go into menu->System->Configuration->Configure Your Computer and System->Services and restart the shorewall service.
