I have just enrolled this forum, I see it is one of the best in the net ¡¡¡.
Well Ie been using Mandriva for a while, currently, I am using MDV 2006.
Yesterday I tried to install some RPMś (gdesklets) using rpmdrake in grafical mode.
After downloading all of them, the post installation did not work properly. It "didn't respond". I stopped it and had a look at /var/chahe/urpmi/rpms. I had all the rpms there downloaded, so I tried to install the same packages again following the same graphical method, and then, I all worked properly.

My main question is, after trying to install the rpms the first time and fail, and doind the second try, could I have some "rubbish" in my hard disk?? temp, and so on... or I all has been correctly done?
I would like to erase everytnig that itś not necessary and that had been created due to this failre, because I do not have a lot of free HD space. The rpms from /var/chare/urpmi/rmps have disappeared whiech is a good notice, but...

You shouldn't have any unwanted files as the result of the failed rpm installation. If you have installed a lot of packages with urpmi, you can clear the cache by doing
