Resolution Changes

Hi

Can any one tell me how can I change my monitor resolution to 1024 X768 in Mandrake 10.1 official. I dont have the 3rd party display card My system specs are

Intel Celeron 1.7 Ghz
128 Mb DDR Ram
Intel 845 GL based Mercury Motherbard with onboard VGA
LG Studioworks 15 inch monitor (500E as shown by Windows)

Well, mandrake probably provides some nice GUI-based tool for this, but you can also change your X configuration for this.

If you edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf go down to the section that says Section Screen, Subsection Display. Find your default color depth. Then underneath that you'll see your resolution there and you can change it. You'll have to restart x in order for the change to take place.
