Remote desktop install

Hi I am getting the following error when running 'make'

[root@linux rdesktop]# make
gcc -DKEYMAP_PATH=\"/usr/local/share/rdesktop/keymaps/\" -Wall -O2 -I/usr/X11R6/include -DWITH_OPENSSL -DWITH_RDPSND -o rdesktop.o -c rdesktop.c
gcc: installation problem, cannot exec `as': No such file or directory
make: *** [rdesktop.o] Error 1

What directory is missing?

Any idea what package I may have missed installing?

Also any idea where I can get the lib for openssl 0.9.6i-1.3mdk?

Cheers,
J.

I think you need to install binutils.

You can get the latest version of openssl from:
http://www.openssl.org
