i am haveing a bit of a problem. i have 10.0 running and i can log in as user on comand line but not as root it has lost the password. i have not changed it. is there a way to get it set back up so i can log into the box and make changes that are needed. X is not tunred on.
If you ever lock yourself out of the root user you can easily reset the password by booting off a LiveCD (Knoppix, PCLinuxOS) or even the Mandriva install CD (go into rescue mode at the splash screen), mounting your root partition and editing the /etc/shadow file.
