realtek VT8233 audio not working in mandrake 10

Hi,

I just installed Mandrake 10, which I added to the same PC my mandrake 9.1 is on. The Realtek( AC97) VT8233 chip set on-board audio worked fine in 9.1, but there was no sound when I put a CD in Mandrake 10, although it was playing according to the player.

How do I configure the audio to work in mandrake 10?
it says the via82xx driver should work with this OS, on the mandrake hardware site.

Thanks in advance,

PCfixinman

thanks anyway I fixed it!

I downloaded the linux driver for my audio chipset, & configured it with the new one, it works fine, I guess the driver that worked with 9.1 couldn't work in 10...
