re: menu drake segmentation fault

so i just recently installed mdk 10.1 (took quite a while due to faulty CDs) and now i'm trying to install firefox, that went well, but when i tried to run menudrake, it loads half way and then it throws me a segmentation fault error. ive updated everything and it still throws me the same error. anyone have or had the same problem that im having right now? any help would be appreciated!

If you can get your hands on a Knoppix CD, load Knoppix. Then, see what your log files may have reported. You can also accomplish this using Tom's rootboot, but I think the Knoppix configuration files have a better chance of being copied over to the Mandrake installation, should you decide to try and use them.

Hope this helps.
