This happens on every Mandriva 2007 computer I've used. Change the X.org color depth to 16-bit and rdesktop starts crashing almost every time you click something in its window. This doesn't happen with 24-bit depth.

The Windows computer I am connecting gives 8-bit color depth to rdesktop and using "-a 16" or "-a 24" won't change it, it tells me the server only allows 8-bit.

Any fix? Tried 1.5.0 and 1.4.1 both from sources and Mandriva RPM's. Same issue with everything. I have to use 16-bit color depth on some computers for several reasons.

There shouldn't be a problem using 16bit, are you using vnc or the native window$ remote desktop app?

- The server computer has Windows XP with Terminal Services server.
- The client computer has Mandriva 2007 with the rdesktop-app (which I launch from xterm).

No VNC involved. Is there anything I could try?
