RAID can't work on Mandrake 10.0

My motherboard is ASUS PC-DL Deluxe. The chipset for RAID is Promise PDC20378. When I install the Mandrake 10, it seems the Linux could correctly detect the chipset. However, while the whole installation going to decide the partition, I couldn't see my RAID. I don't know what happen. Promise also has some Linux support like Suse and Redhat. But I can't use those driver on the Mandrake. Could anyone help me, thanks a lot.

Same problem, different threads. Check mine out to see what I have learned so far:

I find it very odd that the RAID array works in Win9X, WinNT/2K/XP, MS-DOS, DR-DOS and PC-DOS, but getting a Linux kernel to play nice with it is such a production.

You may want to post a quick reply in my thread so you can be subscribed to both of our threads in your email. Two "threads" are better than one, I guess (unless you are a forum administrator, of course).

I am not so sure our problems are the same. My RAID controller could work well with the external module provided by asus(or promise?) in Redhat. But without the external module, I can't even see my RAID controller. However, while installing the Mandrake 10, the situation is just opposite! I can see exactly which chipset I am using on my system for RAID, apparently Mandrake 10 can support Promise PDC20378. But I still can't see any one of my hard drive when check the partition. I don't have any idea what happen here.
