question about how to add user

ok, Linux n00b here.
Mandriva is the first distro I have ever installed and when I was configuring, I didn't add any users.
I know, stupid.
How do I go about adding a user? I can log onto root, but I am unable to find anything there to help me.
I tried (multiple) searching, both here and on the web, but I am coming up blank.
Can someone explain it to me (in small words)?

The command useradd is one way of adding a new user. Check out the man page for specifics. I'm not too familiar with Mandriva, but in Red Hat they include a GUI for user and group maintenance. Probably something similar in Mandriva.

>> other
>> User Administration
enter root password
