problems with screen saver and power control (2007 free)

Hi,
well, I have a little problem , which I want to repair:
I have turned screensaver and power control off, but they are still working. what have i do?

I am using mandriva 2007 free version.

And I also want to ask. How can I do something like this:

1. Try disabling the services labtop-mode and all which have to do with power-saving (should be two or three) in drakconf (Control Center)

2. Sure. Install Superkaramba, the weather thingie is Liquid Weather, you should find both with drakconf.
