having problem getting linux to boot up starts up normal but as its going through its loading process it just stops and hangs then eventually goes to a black screen this didn't occur until i tried creating a new cust boot theme any ideas on how i can get back in to fix this?

also i'd like to add that when i try to login from the failsafe option that it refuses to recognise my root password
