Problem with Mandrake 10.0 Community, Sagem usb modem and logitech usb mouse.
I installed Mandrake 10.0 Community (kernel 2.6.3-4mdk)
Everything worked fine except the ADSL USB modem, a Sagem F@st 800), so as installed eagle-usb-1.9.5-4mdk.rpm as recomended in qa.mandrakesoft.com/twiki/bin/view/Main/Mandrake10 . I could connect to the internet, but after rebooting my USB mouse (Logitech MX 500) was no longer working, only the touchpad on my laptop. I tried reconfiguring the mouse using mouseconfig, but I got an error message: "FATAL: Module mousedev not found." Can anyone help? |
Seems like your mouse module went off to take a vacation. Try to run xf86cfg and reselect your mouse from the menu.

I tried xf86cfg and I managed to get my touchpad to stop working too :) Although with a reboot it would go back to working.

I switched to Debian, problem solved :)
I'm sure there is a solution with Mandrake, but I felt like trying Debian out. |
