Problem with drakrpm

Hi, I decided to give Mandriva a try so I downloaded the 2005 Limited Edition Mini CD since I don't have the bandwidth to download 3 CD's full of software that I don't really need. So after the basic system was installed I decided to install KDE and drakrpm with urpmi since it wasn't on the CD, but now I have a problem, when I start drakrpm it spits out:

Couldn't recognize the image file format for file '/usr/share/rpmdrake/icons/title-install.png' at /usr/lib/libDrakX/mygtk2.pm line 248.

This file IS there. I have libpng3 installed as well as libgdk-pixbuf2, any ideas on what I am missing/what is wrong?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Nevermind

Found the problem. If anyone cares for some reason /etc/gdk-pixbuf.loaders.lib wasn't generated, so I made one using "gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders > /etc/gtk-2.0/gdk-pixbuf.loaders.lib" Now everything seems to be working fine.

Thanks.

Thank you so much!!

Marvellous!
In that one line answer to yourself, you've managed to save another 12 hours downloading the full distro again, and saved me no end of hair pulling out!

So just once more in case you missed it - thank you, thank you so very much!

That's great ritme909, it'd be even more appreciated if you could file a bug report at http://qa.mandriva.com/

Thanks ritme909, you saved my life!
well ok maybe not that extreme but you saved me a lot of aggrevation...

Been spending most of my weekend reinstalling my server cause something stopped working after a urpmi --auto-select.. well urpmi and rpm stopped working, as well as the whole Xserver thing... spend sunday reinstalling mandriva completely only to find urpmi was working ok but the MCC wouldn't come up!!

Couldn't find any way to resolve it, was trying installing packages left right and centre to no avail, and i was getting desperate enough to consider doing the whole reinstall again....

Thanks to your tip it's all resolved now and all's well!

so thanks!

Micelis
