Problem installing new nVidia drivers for my GeForce2 GTS

ZSNES is running wikid slow, so I decided that I needed new video drivers. I downloaded the drivers for the GF2 GTS (which is not supported by the new drivers, so I had to get an older one), and it said that I have to try to compile a new kernel module for my video card, but every time I try, it tells me that it has failed. Does anyone know where to get a pre-compiled kernel module for me? I have tried download.nvidia.com, but I really can't seem to find any kernel-specific stuff. Thanks!

You probably wont find a pre-compiled module of nvidia drivers unless you are part of Mandriva club.

However, creating the modules for yourself is not that difficult a process. Try searching the forums here for a guide on how to do it, they are usually pretty good. What was message that told you it had failed?

Did you get the Nvidia Linux drivers from nvidia.com? See the HOWTO here: http://wiki.linuxquestions.org/wiki/...NVIDIA_drivers
