problem compiling packages

I've been having a problem trying to compile packages specifically when i run make. I'll show the error below. It can't find a library but doesn't state which one. This particular example is from the NEO engine but have had similar problems with others (mostly game and graphic libraries. I also posted the configure.log on my website at and now the error

From looking at your logs...
check /etc/ to see if /usr/local/lib is there. if not, add it (that's where your logs show the libs are installed) and run ldconfig (as root)
