Prevent konqueror from executing shell scripts

I've got used to double-clicking on text files in konqueror to edit them with kwrite. Occasionally, I accidentally double-click a shell script with the intention of editing it, and it executes instead.

Does anybody know how to stop konqueror from executing shell scripts on a double click?

I think your beef may be with kde and not necessarily Konqueror. Check the kde control panel to see if you can find an answer.
