Possible to install Mandriva in Parallels on a Mac?

Sorry, I meant to make the title, "Problem installing Mandriva in Parallels on a mac".

I have a macbook pro, and I would like to install Mandriva in parallels. I have gone through it twice, but both times the GUI interface doesn't load, and I just get a shell prompt. Both times it asked me what I wanted to use for the video, the first time I selected whatever it had by default, the second time I select vmware. Can anyone provide any guidance on this?
