but i can't seem to find the solution to my problem.
I have Mandrake 10 installed and i also installed kde
i installed the nvidia drivers (i have GForce FX 5200) and configured XF86Config-4 properly (i think)
when i type startx X starts, i see the nvidia logo, and then a red screen with xclock in the upper right, and a terminal. (i am the root)
i want to switch to kde

((( but HOW do i do it ?????????????? i tried from the console, it said something about an xinint rerror and that startkde does not exist. what can i do ? i know i installed it

and one more thing : in slackware u have pkgtool to configure most of your sytem's settings in text mode.
how can u do it in mandrake ?
