PLF Repository?
I'm trying to install a package called dvd::rip, and i'm told the rpm is at the plf repository. How can I add that to the list of sources? I know there wass a website that would tell me how to do that, but I can't remember where it is...
Unless somebody knows where I can find the RPM for dvd::rip... |
|
Damn.. it didn't work. I guess they don't have Mandriva rpms.

I see a file by this name:
Video-DVDRip-0.97.6-1plf.i586.rpm EDIT: From Mandriva LE 2005... [root@linux ~]# urpmi --test VIDEO-DVDRip To satisfy dependencies, the following 15 packages are going to be installed (20 MB): Video-DVDRip-0.52.3-1plf.i586 fping-2.4b2-6mdk.i586 liba52dec0-0.7.4-6mdk.i586 libavifile0.7-0.7.43-3mdk.i586 libaviplayavcodec0.7-0.7.43-3plf.i586 libdvdread3-0.9.4-5mdk.i586 libfaad2_0-2.1-0.20050201.0.1.102plf.i586 libfame0.9_1-0.9.1-5plf.i586 libffmpeg0-0.4.9-0.pre1.4mdk.i586 liblame0-3.96.1-1plf.i586 libquicktime0-0.9.4-3mdk.i586 ogmtools-1.5-1mdk.i586 perl-Event-1.04-1mdk.i586 perl-libintl-perl-1.11-3mdk.i586 transcode-1.0.0-0.beta2.2plf.i586 Is this OK? Did you ad a contrib source while you were at EasyURPMI?
PLF site says: Ensure you also have the 'community contribs' among your urpmi medias, as many PLF packages depend on these packages. |

contribs are indeed listed, but it doesn't say community. Where is that in the zarb site so I can add it? |
My "/etc/urpmi/urpmi.cfg" lists Installation source (the install DVD), plf-free, plf-nonfree, update source, and contrib. Since you have the free version you may need a main source for packages not included.
I am assuming my "--test" run found the dependant packages somewhere there. |

So there's no way I can add the right one? What about copying your urpmi.cfg file? |
Quote:
I had to run "urpmi.update -a" before my "--test" run ran sucessfully. Quote:

Thats just it, according to urpmi everything is installed and it still won't let me get it. I ran urpmi.update -a and I still get: [root@.....]# urpmi --test video-dvdrip Some package requested cannot be installed: Video-DVDRip-0.97.6-0.1.20060plf.i586 (due to unsatisfied perl(Gtk2::Ex::FormFactory)[>= 0.58]) Continue? (Y/n) y Installation is possible |
Looking in the contrib directory of a Mandriva mirror I find perl-Gtk2-Ex-FormFactory-0.57-1mdk.noarch.rpm while the error says you need greater than or equal to 0.58.
I guess that is the problem. I am not sure options like forcing the install or using a cooker 0.58 version are good ideas. I guess I would consider using the force option first (check man urpmi). Not sure what to advise from here. Sorry. |
I have it working... But I get this.
I click on new project and then create and whamo. [img=http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/3908/snapshot49ci.th.jpg] http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/3...hot49ci.th.jpg |
