Red face please help me system not booting


Hi,
i am using mandrake linux 10.0.i tried to create boot floppy. i think,i had setup wrongly
so now i can not boot.
when i try to make a boot floppy i forgot to run lilo in a /sbin/lilo.
i have no floppy and cdrom right now.
i have 2 os 1)windows xp 2)linux
my system not booting from linux drive.
now i haveno bootable floppy and cd.
sir please help me what should i do?
after the power on my screen look like this,

L 99 99 9 9 9 9 9 9 9 9 9 9
9 9 9 99 9 9 99 9 9 9 9 9 9
9 9 9 9 999 99 9 9 9 9 9 9
9 9 9 9 9 9 9 9 9 9 9 9 99 9

then what should i do?

u need athe 1st Cd for reinstalling lilo
or do u have a LIVE cd of linux say knoppix??

if u want to start atleast windwos from ur system u need a bootloader winXp or windows CD

sir i have the first cd of mandrake linux but that is not mine.the rescue not working properly.
i think same version of kernal may support the rescue of linux.
or whatever the mandrake first cd may do it?

boot into rescue mode with any Linux cd

at the prompt
mount ur linux partition say /dev/hda3 to any dir. say /tmp
then

chroot /tmp

and then run

lilo

to reinstall lilo again

sir i tried but not good.
when type rescue in prompt,
boot: rescue
after that nothing happening, the system rebooting now,
when i type rescue the system rebooting,

sir my eyes captures the last word was " ok booting your kernal "
this is the last word after rebooting.

now i have the mandrake linux rescue first cd .i cann't "re-install boot loader".
i smoothly entered in to rescue mode by rescue cd where i give enter to "re-install boot loader" it shows

linux*
windows
263-7
failsafe
floppy
but when i see a /etc dir there is no lilo.conf file.
when i reboot the system with out cd the problem appear?
help me...

what is ur root partition

like

/dev/hda3 etc???

so u have the lilo.conf

run "lilo" to reinstall ur bootloader again

If you cant boot into mandrake why are you making posts about not being able to use kb3 in another post?

I'm thinking you just bored and want attention.

now i installed windows boot loader.
linux boot loader has been erased.
now i want to restore linux boot loader.
using rescue cd when i enter "reinstall boot loader" the error is,

/mnt is already mounted (according to /proc/mounts)
about to re-install boot loader od following mandrake distro:
mandrake linux release 10.0 (offical) for i586
==>ok? <press enter to continue, 'n' and enter the cancel>

when give enter,the reported err is,

Fatel : open /dev/fd0 :no such device or address
<press enter to return rescue GUI>

now what should i do? what is wrong with /dev/fd0
help me

hi there

there are few things
i think u r trying to make a bootdisk ,that is the reason that it is asking you about the /ev/fd0

and from where did u get ur lilo.conf??

also
there is an optipon of going to shell
once at the shell

do this

mount /dev/hda2 /tmp

chroot /tmp

lilo

and reboot

maybe the user has 2 machines
or maybe he might have got this problem of Lilo recently
