Please HELP!!!


Hi!
My settings and menu (system, other programs,...) has chrashed. All my settings are lost.
How can I set my system to default settings. Like in Windows XP - system restore???
PLEASE HELP

Uh, Oh, does not sound good. Do you know what you did to skrew it up?
As far as I know (not much about Mandriva) you cannot do anything about it. But I'm no expert, so wait to see what other replies you get.

You'll have to give a bit more detail than that I think.

But if its just your user settings that you've stuffed up then just delete (or move) all the files and directories that start with a . that are in your home directory. If you enable View->Show Hidden Files in Konqueror you'll be able to see the files I mean. These files contain all your user settings.

Otherwise I'm not sure what you mean - what settings are stuffed? What parts of the system can't you use? What happened to cause this - ie. did you try to change something or whatever?

Restart your PC. Everything works fine? If no you can either:

1 - Try to fix (In this case, describe exactly what happens once you reboot)

or

2 - Reinstall
