Which kind (the format) of movies are you going to watch?
Why don't you try to uninstall those players and replace them with vlc?

Just add some repository via easyurpmi and then install vlc via the installation manager of Mandriva.

In my opinion VLC is the best video player

Uninstall and then reinstall xine media player, and win32 codec packages,

Just a guess,

I'd say you have something missing.

The "no debugging symbols found" message is from KCrash handler not finding the symbols in the kernel. These can be enabled, I usually do it while rebuilding the kernel for some other reason, like installing the ati Graphics drivers.
