php command for jpg

Have tried to find a php command to convert a jpg file to a smaller jpg command.

Anyone, know if their is a command in 5.0, tried to find a forum, but haven't found one for php?

Maybe the function you want is "imagecreatefromjpeg". Look at www.php.net, there you can browse in the function list. There you also find some hints, how to use the function.
