Seems to be OK now !
Hello,
Thank you for your answer and for being late to come back.
In fact, I planned to recompile the last stable ALSA drivers but before doing it, I decided to investigate a little more.
Going to Desktop Configuration, in sound related items, I tried to modify some settings, not really but just to be able to apply the ( null ) change. And the message appears : sound server was not able to start because device was busy and a pid was mentionned to cause that problem. After typing the little cmd line, I found that Kmix was using the sound device... And when trying to view controls, only MIC control was appearing... So I killed Kmix and reloaded sound server and.... That seemed to be ok !
Now :
-> I can view all control cursors
-> I can hear sound and play either Audio CD or DVD and, sound is OK !
Just a little annoyance but that seems to come from cd player ( because I selected to play sound in real time ) some lags maybe due to reading process on CD player... In windows, that could be solved by activating DMA, but in Linux platform, I didn't found time to have a look on that little problem....
So, let's Mandriva go on and Enjoy the multimedia played by Linux !
Next step for me is to work with sound applications, I plan to install Harbour...
Thanks
