Hi, everybody!!
I am trying to connect to the Internet with my Acer Aspire 1360 laptop and Agere Systems AC'97 modem. I use mandriva LE 2005. I have downloaded slmodem-2.9.9d.tar.gz and now my modem seems to work.
With Kppp I make a dial and i can hear the bzzbzbzzzzz when I pick up the phone. Kppp says I am online but actually I am not. I believe that password is not properly sent to provider.
If I use the terminal option of Kppp i can reach my provider, i can give my username but when i try to give the password the cursor doesn't move.
How can I use the PAP properly?
Any idea of what is going on?
Help me please i really feel I'm close to solving it.
I used the senario option of Kppp and the problem was solved!!!!
I also uninstalled the firewall which prevented me to ping
Now I'm Online using mandriva )))
I can sleep peacefully )
