OV518+ camera not working under Mandrake 9.2
 

I'm having difficulties in getting my OV518+/OV6130 camera to work under Mandrake 9.2.

I have another camera, OV511+/OV6120 that works fine with both the 2.25 (comes with 9.2) and 2.27 drivers (latest stable).

Here is what I do:
modprobe ovcamchip
modprobe ov511

This works just fine but then when I physically plug the camera into my system, it takes about 8 seconds until my entire system freezes and requires a hard reset.

With debug set at 5 for ovcamchip and ov511, here is the last 20 or so entries from dmesg:

What can I do? It is also interesting to note that the driver reports that the imager is OV6630, huh.
