Only root can acces this partition!?

I'm using a Mandrake 9.1 (caus e the 9.2 doesn't like my Quikckam pro3000!).
I have ext3, fat32 and ntfs partitions. I've mounted them all and everyone can read them, but only root can write in it. It's most boring with the fat32 partition! Each tim I boot I have to umount it as root, and then remount it as normal user!

Is there a better way to do??? I hope!

Thanks for your answers.

There is a way to do it, although I can't fully remember off the top of my head (sorry). But since I've replied, it'll email me when you post back complaining that I was of no help. Then I might be at home and so I might be able to figure it out.
The basic premise is to unmount the partition, and chmod the mount point so that anyone can use it (which I expect you want). Then you have to set the appropriate options in /etc/fstab, which I think are something like "all,rw".

so there is a way

I also thought I had to change my fstab, but since I don't know exactly how to do it, I prefer to wait for your answer rather than to crash my system.

Thanks for your answer and if you find exactly how to do it, don't hesitate to answer me again!

this is a line from my fstab that works fine with my fat32 partition:

none /mnt/win_data supermount dev=/dev/hda5,fs=vfat,exec,--,user,suid,umask=0 0

i think it's the option "user" that makes the difference.
make sure your kernel has supermount enabled.
i hope it'll help...
