I am sure someone over at would know the answer. I use Mandriva 2010.1 and have just purchased a webcam online, but it has not yet arrived.

I'm interested in a program called "motion" which I saw in Mandriva's repository. The motion program can monitor the webcam, recording only when it detects motion.
