Nvidia: xkbcomp reports warning
Hi,
I'm getting a series of warning thrown by xkbcomp.
I am runnning Mandrake 10.0 Official and installed the latest Nvidia drivers.
I installed the following: NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-6106-pkg1.run
and edited XF86Config-4 (uncommented "glx" and replaced "nv").
X works fine and drivers seem good.
However I noticed when starting X from the command line the following (non-fatal) warnings where thrown:
[..]
(II) Initializing extension GLX
The XKEYBOARD keymap compiler (xkbcomp) reports:
> Warning: Symbol map for key <ESC> redefined
> Using last definition for conflicting fields
> Warning: Symbol map for key <TLDE> redefined
> Using last definition for conflicting fields
[etc... etc.. for keys like SPCE, CAPS, RTRN and a whole series of ABxx, AExx....]
Now my questions:
1/ Is it bad? (or should i just ignore the warnings).
2/ Why is it happening?
Truth be told, the warnings might have been there before the drivers where installed.
I was just wondering if someone had the same issue.
If you need more info let me know.
Any light on this greatly appreciated.
