No wallpaper in 2009.1 custom KDE 3.5 DVD

Okay, so I have made up a custom 2009.1 KDE 3.5 iso, all works fine apart from there is no wallpaper, just a white screen. As I plan to make copies, making them usable for others, i'd really like to get this issue sorted.

I'd already edited the kdesktoprc file at /var/lib/mandriva/kde-profiles/common/share/config/, amending the 'Wallpaper=' line before creating the ISO so that it read as follows:

Code:
Wallpaper=/opt/kde3/share/wallpapers/floating-leaves.jpg
/opt/kde3/share/wallpapers is the location of floating-leaves.jpg background.

This however does not write to the /home/guest/.kde/share/config/kdesktopr so that it includes the line when I go to run the iso live in Virtualbox.

Can't say I no what to try next with this one. Anyone?
