no usb bus found
 

My speedtouch modem ids amost ready for the internet :-)

I installed the driver, the microcode annd the necessary packages.

i get the error that NO USB Bus is found!

My usb ports are working, USB modem recognized and USB stick working

What should I do?

could u give some more details, such as the name of the drivers you installed

Solzhenitsyn, it seems u r having the same problem i used to have ( i assume that u are trying the speedtouchconf driver) If so please look here

And read about the commenting out the lines

(ie put a # in front of the following lines in the speedtouchconf.sh file)

echo $"No USB Bus found!" | tee -a $LOGFILE
error=`expr $error + 2`
fi

If it's not a sppedtouch modem then ignore this advice!
