Unhappy No updated packages since installation of Mandriva 2010.1

I installed Mandriva 2010.1 aproximately 2 months ago on my system and configured the urpmi media sources using easyurpmi.

When issuing urpmi --auto-select I get always the message that all packages are on their latest version.

However this sounds quite strange to me as with previous releases there were security updates for some packages every week or so.

Is Mandriva 2010.1 no longer maintained?

Does it work for anybody? If yes, I would be happy if you could post your urpmi media settings.

Thanks in advance

While I was reading your post I have an update running on Mandriva 2010.1. It is still being maintained.

Main Mirror list Main Updates Mirror list Main32 Mirror list Main32 updates Contrib Contrib Updates Non Free Non free updates PLF PLF Non Free I have the downloader set to 'curl'. I know there were issues with some of the other downloaders, not sure what they were though.

Hope this helps.

See man urpmi for an explanation of the difference.

When you configured your media sources, did you make sure to configure the update media sources too? I have the Main-updates, the Contrib-updates, and the Non-free-updates media sources configured on my system.

Open the Mandriva Software Manager (Install and remove software in the menu system).

In the Options menu (top) select Media manager (opens the media manager)

Here you can see which media sources are enabled, and which are not.

On my system (Mandriva 2010.1 Spring x86_64), I have the following media sources listed (with their status):
Official Mandriva Media Sources

I think setting the downloader to curl did the trick.

Now the update is running.

Thanks everybody for the help.
