No network after new install
 
I just installed Mandriva 2006 and can't get the network working.
I try to create a new network interface but nothing happens.
I'm using the onboard nForce ethernet adaptor.

Any suggestions?

Does the nic showup in harddrake? Nvidia is well supported in linux, and while the video drivers need to be added later, the chipset and board drivers are already in the kernel. Mandriva auto detects the devices on my own nvidia boards. Is the nic off in the bios?

Yes, it correctly shows up as an nVidia MCP55 ethernet card, and it is on in the bios because I'm using it now
