No, it just means that you don't have the source for the kernel. you will have a kernel but it will be in binary form that can be read by your computer.
well, in a script it asks for linux source directory? and it gives /usr/src/linux as the default. what would i put instead for mandrake so i can use the ATMEL wireless drivers?
You should use that directory but you will need to install the kernel source, either your Mandrake kernel source or use a vanilla kernel from: http://www.kernel.org
