No bootsplash after kernel update

Hi

My first post here . I recently installed Mandriva 2007.1 and have just updated my kernel to version 2.6.21-5. Now Mandriva's default bootsplash (Mandriva One) is gone. It is still selected in the control centre though. The new bootsplash is just a black background with Tux on it. How do I change it back?

Thanks
Michiel

There is a choice of what background to show while booting in "configure your computer/boot options/select a the graphical theme...."

Try changing it.

I use the plf penguin theme no.2

You probably need to reinstall the theme or adjust the links for your system.

"urpmi theme" should give you a choice of themes.

Tried changing it to another bootsplash: no effect. Still an unknown bootsplash that is not in the bootsplash list. Packages bootsplash-themes and bootsplash already installed. What links do I have to adjust?

try reinstalling the theme, that will fix the links as well as make sure you have all the files still in the right places.

"rpm -e (name of package here)" to remove the theme,

"rpm -ivh (name of package here)" to re-install the theme with the correct links.

and you should be right to go, Glenn
