"no action associated with filetype"

Hi all,

I recently installed Mandrake 10.1 official, with Gnome (I think my window manager is Nautilus...not sure).

When i try to open a pdf file, it says "There is no action associated with filename.pdf. You can configure GNOME to associate applications...". I did associate pdf files with acrobat reader, but when i double click the pdf file, the same message pops up.

Acrobat reader works fine otherwise. i logged out of X, logged in back again, didn't help. I shutdown and restarted the system, tried, same thing.

Is there something that I'm not doing right here?! I would appreciate any pointers

Did you associate .pdf with acrobat reader or acroread? The latter is the correct program name to use (provided you have acrobat reader installed).
