Unhappy

I visited a few sites using Konqueror and some just didn't display correctly, in terms of alignment within tables and such.

They looked the way they should in Firefox.

I use Firfeox, Mozilla, Konqueror, Opera and (Don't shoot me) Internet Exploder In that order. When a page dosen't work or look terrible I then go down the line. using Internet Exploder as a very very last resort.

I use Firfeox, Mozilla, Konqueror

With separate desktops I can have a few open at once, I generally only use Konquorer for local wed files.

Firefox for everything and mozilla as a second. Having multiple tabs is very helpfull

Keep testing Konqueror while Firefox is your default.

Someday Konqueror can do it all flawlessly and integration must be better in the long run.

At least according to Microsoft strategy.

Quite a dilemma, isn't it.

I can't use Internet Exploder anymore because I have now banished Microsoft from my computer. The 'Health Warning' from the American government was the last straw (see: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/switch.html).

Firefox was my favourite under Winbloat but in the past week or so I found Iprefer the download manager in Mozilla. It took me a while to get Firefox into this version of MD and in the meantime I have been using Epiphany and Galeon, both great fast little browsers. I have also been using Konqueror without any extras. I worry a bit like Thulemanden about expansionism. I don't like software with territorial ambitions. I have them all set with different homepages.

Like opjose I say try them all.

rrsc16954 Yea I know about the warning about Internet Exploder. Like I said Its only as a very very last resort. If I have to use it it's for our internel web pages at work. They only support IE and boy have I complained all the way up to the top.

I don't know any site that actually requires IE except windows update, you should press them and find out why it seems to require it.

It my company's internal web site. They insist on IE. They are in M$ back pocket and refuse to support anything but IE. Believe me I HAVE TRIED TO GET THEM TO SWITCH! Or at least support more than a single browser. After all we have divisions in other country's

Original question: Which browser?

I would say both Firefox and Konqueror.

Firefox can render some sites better than Konqueror, but Konqueror keeps to the Tabbed system better, sometimes Firefox opens new windows when Konqueror would only open a tab.

Konqueror should improve because it will be able to use the Gecko machine (so will be the same as Firefox but with a prettier wrapper!).

Consider Opera if you or anyone using the computer has visual problems, as it is possible to scale the whole rendered page (as opposed to changing text size within the page).
